Closing Corporate Office Buildings to Work From Home Idea
Economy & Other Thoughts & Unemployment Review Idea, I noted Closing Corporate Office Buildings and complexes as a means to streamline cost for Work From Home Programs. This option can also give back to the community by developing community centers for kids, and housing.
Both of which give back to our communities in a very big way. Our youth require opportunities to keep them busy after school and during the summer. These centers can house computer labs, tutoring, mentoring, and gyms as an example all of which serve as partners assisting working and/or non-working parents. Ultimately, this can reduce crime which leads to imprisonment, and increase overall school performance. All of which improve our overall society and is an investment towards our future.
Affordable housing is becoming increasingly difficult we need to close the gap in order to reduce the homeless population. The homeless are sometimes impacted in their ability to find a job or enrolling their children into school solely because they’re homeless and this isn’t fair, let’s close the gap.
Maybe as an incentive to corporate America closing office buildings and major complexes we can return to quality of life not only for employees but also for our overall community they can receive a tax incentive by giving back to communities they’re based in.
Can we begin to utilize more innovative approaches to our work structure by working from home, implementing flex time, removing the concept of penalizing workers for arriving to work less than 5 minutes late and move towards quarter hour systems with reasonable means of dealing with tardiness other than firing people. Truly, if someone abuses this practice then a meeting is in order. A meeting incorporating empathy, instead of you’re fired immediately. Especially, with high performance employees; diplomacy and negotiation should rule the day.
Just like corporate America’s consistent requests for empathy when applying for BAILOUT requests, they should apply the same to their employees. Instead of the cold shoulder, maybe our legislative body should implement the cold shoulder to remind them of how it feels. Sometimes when you climb the greed mountain you forget for where you came…
Thank you, and Have a Blessed & Peaceful Day!!!
